The Chattanooga Prime Timers enjoyed a bountiful early Thanksgiving thanks to the culinary skills of many of its members. Forty members and guests were present. The news has spread that the Prime Timers meeting is the place to be for great food and a good company on the first Saturday of the month.

On May 19th, ten Prime Timers Chattanooga rode the Tennessee Valley Railroad Hiwassee Excursion train from Etowah, Tennessee round trip. Our destination was Copperhill, Tennessee, which is a historic copper mining town in the beautiful East Tennessee mountains. It turned into a real adventure. A few miles into the trip, the train encountered a fallen tree on the tracks. The crew sawed it up and we were on our way after an hour's delay. A few more miles further and now climbing the mountain, a large boulder was blocking the rails and was impossible to move, so the train had to back down the mountain.
