On Saturday August 11th, the Boston, Connecticut, and Rhode Island chapters gathered together to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of the founding of Prime Timers. As "New England" chapters, we decided on a good old-fashioned New England Clambake theme for the party. We enjoyed boiled lobster, steamers, chowder, and corn on the cob and all the traditional accompaniments at the Twelve Acres Farm in Smithfield Rhode Island. In addition to the wonderful dinner, the men enjoyed the "Gay J" playing classic hits and some braved a karaoke sing-a-long. The scenic grounds also included bocce and horseshoe courts which several of the guys partook in.

Although our anniversary isn't until August 15, we decided to hold our celebrations on June 16 due to the poor health status of three of our founding members*. The two remaining founding fathers who were able to attend that day, Jerry Leone and Jim Norris, received a picture award taken of them alongside Woody Baldwin during the 20th anniversary event. A video recording of Jerry and Jim relating the events leading to the formation of Prime Timers and what Prime Timers has done for them over the years, was also presented.
