MEETING POINTS #5
POSTPONE AND TO LAY ON THE TABLE

Did you know that you can delay the consideration and vote on a Main Motion to a time later in the same meeting or to the next meeting? The Subsidiary motion to Postpone to a certain time gives the assembly an opportunity to hold-off the debate and vote on a motion until absent members can reach the meeting location, until an expert arrives, until after a report is given, until after a caucus is held, or until after other related motions are considered.

Chattanooga "Nooga" Prime Timers has added another activity to the many it offers its members: a book club. Starting with Kate Morton's The Lake House, Tennessee and North Georgia members meet on a regular basis to discuss new literary offerings. The group and books promise to bring hours of fun and enrichment.

Founder Filosophy

One of the magazines that I read has a monthly column in which celebrities of one kind or other tells what he or she has learned. Since I am not a celebrity, I have chosen to talk about what I have not learned.

In recent newsletters, this fund has been mentioned several times. With the recent "Orlando Massacre", it was suggested as a place to make donations. With the passing of our founder, Woody Baldwin, it has again been mentioned. I'd like to take this time to give some background information about the fund and how it operates and helps promote our organization.
