The nation watched, enrapt in horror on September 11, 2001 as the tragedy of the planes hitting the World Trade Center in New York City unfolded. Later, we were to learn a plane also hit the Pentagon and another crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. At our Tuesday lunch in Gusher's at the Habana and then at our general meeting the following Sunday, the guys were asked where they were when they first heard of the tragedy happening and their immediate reaction. Here are some of the replies:

Wichita Prime Timer members hosted a very successful event remembering and celebrating the Stonewall Riots. The entire community and surrounding areas were invited and about 30 attended. Members provided hot dogs, burgers, and sides for all and shared a Stonewall documentary video.

Do you remember that time when we had the windows open at that dilapidated cabin in the mountains and the skunk came up?" Both of us burst out laughing. The other said, "The one where you got shocked on a raw wire because you had to iron your boxer shorts, where you tried to run off the raccoons by beating on the dumpster, and, you slept in your clothes because you were afraid of getting bedbugs? What was the name of that place?" The other shouted out through laughter, "The Buckhorn Inn!" The other replied, "Oh, yes, the Buckhorn Inn."

Once again, many of our chapters have received a second gift from our founder, Woody Baldwin. The executor of his will completed the distribution of Woody's wishes: donations to the chapters he loved so much. These funds have gone to all of the current chapters that existed in good standing at the time of Woody's passing in April of 2016. How can the chapters acknowledge this wonderful gift? By promoting Worldwide activities in their monthly newsletters in order to form stronger bonds with Prime Timers Worldwide.
