This area contains all of the news articles from the Prime Timers Worldwide quarterly newsletter.  They are listed in chronological order, with the most recent news article listed first.  Feel free to peruse this article archive; it is chock full of interesting stories from local chapters, the worldwide organization as a whole, and important news to its members.

Marc and Ricardo met aboard a Prime Timer World Wide cruise last year. They returned this year to celebrate one year together and Ricardo's birthday. Marc was reading at the pool when Ricardo bravely asked if he could have some suntan lotion. The next night, they met in one of the lounges and a conversation began. Emails followed and both have introduced the other to their families. Marc will shortly be moving to Puerto Rico to live with Ricardo.

We have to return to the pre-Norman Conquest days of old England to find the origin of the word "bylaws".

Anglo-Saxon Era: By 410 A.D., the last of the Roman Legions had pulled out of Britain, leaving the island without protection. The Norseman (Danes and Vikings) saw this as an opportunity to pillage England of its goods and take its people into slavery. Starting in the fifth Century A.D., a succession of Germanic tribes called Anglo-Saxons were invited by the native Britons to help fight off the invading Vikings. Instead of returning to the European main land when no longer needed or tolerated, the Anglo-Saxons began their own invasion and takeover of British tribal lands. The Germanic tribes brought with them a custom of allowing all freemen who owned land to gather for the purpose of making bye-laws for the administration of the village or bye.

Healthcare Survey

A while ago, I placed a small request in the PTWW newsletter for members to contact me regarding their satisfaction with, comfort level with, and general happiness with their healthcare provider as an aging gay man. I also asked members to share any stories or concerns with their healthcare experience as they age.

Independent Links

It's about that time! Renewal and "how much is it??" Whatever it costs is worth the dues, but, they are so inexpensive. Because we offer so many options on dues structure, it merits an explanation to the Independents. Chapter dues are set by individual chapters so this is for the Independent Chapter where a Prime Timer does not have a nearby chapter and wants to be a Prime Timer.
