NEWS

This area contains all of the news articles from the Prime Timers Worldwide quarterly newsletter.  They are listed in chronological order, with the most recent news article listed first.  Feel free to peruse this article archive; it is chock full of interesting stories from local chapters, the worldwide organization as a whole, and important news to its members.

So much is happening in our Prime Timers world. We are most excited about our newest chapters; after many years we have a new chapter in Asheville, NC. They stay in touch with me. I am so impressed at how quickly they’re growing and how many events they have going. I made them a promise to come up and visit sometime this year. I predict this chapter will soon top 75 members!

The great, wonderful Las Vegas Regional Gathering is almost here, and it promises to be better than ever. The event will be held May 5 thru 9, at the Tuscany Suites Hotel. For $199 there is a Welcoming party, a hospitality room with bar and lunch, a Monday breakfast buffet, a Tuesday night Vegas style variety show, and a Wednesday night full buffet banquet and finale entertainment. (Guys who register on-site pay $209).

Sunday, January 27, 2013 was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky and the temperature went above 80 degrees. At the Prime Timers gathering at Haulover Beach we had over 20 guys. We had Prime Timers members from different states including Jim B the ex-president of the Boston Chapter, Dan W from Indiana, and Wolfgang E from Kentucky. We all got to know each other, share travel experiences, discuss our favorite restaurants and we went swimming together. We all had a great time. Please join us the last Sunday of the month for another Prime Timers gathering at Haulover Beach. Please look for the white and blue sign.

David Gunton, the outgoing President of Prime Timers Hamilton, took the opportunity to congratulates members on their success in 2012. “I want to take this time to say a big “thank you” to all of you for allowing me to be your President over the past year. 2012 was a year of tremendous growth for Prime Timers Hamilton. From the 18 men who joined to found our chapter on January 8th, we have grown to 47 members.
