Richmond Triangle Players was established in 1992. Back then, Steve J. Earle, Michael Gooding, and Marcus Miller got together to produce a three-night run of one-act plays we called "Safe Sex" based on Harvey Fierstein's trilogy. Harvey gave them special permission to add "Forget Him" which he never allowed anyone else to produce. Thus was born Richmond Triangle Players. RTP is the only theatre company of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic region that welcomes a wide audience with a focus on works relevant to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities. Their aim is to enlighten all audiences with theatre that warms the heart, educates the mind, and entertains the spirit.

As the biennial Prime Timers Worldwide Convention approaches, the Board of Directors and I want to encourage your chapter to participate in-person. There will the Business Meeting of the chapter representatives and the Board as well as board meetings to conduct during the formal part of the convention, but there will be time available to see and enjoy Chicago.
