September was a great Prime Timers month. I started out helping to host the Central Oklahoma Prime Timers Labor Day Get-a-Way. On Sunday, September 16th, the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Prime Timers chapter – located on the Texas / Mexico border in deep South Texas – celebrated Mexico’s Independence Day (commonly called, Diez y Seis) in true international style. Many of our 50+ members are of Mexican descent, and this holiday is a very big, traditional celebration for this part of Texas, as well.
