As we enter into our 31st year as an organization, we continue to work to cover the map with chapters. When I was elected to the board in 2003, our chapters numbered in the 40's and our Independent Members were over 200. As we increased and doubled those numbers, our Independent Members had more and closer chapters to join and their numbers declined. It makes sense: more chapters to serve more Prime Timers.

Once, again, I'm asking for your help in working with me and our Worldwide Board in starting up a few new chapters. First off, we are seeking a chapter (or more) in the New York City / Long Island area. This area has long been underserved. There are enough gay and bi men out there to get one started. Remember, we can start a new chapter with as few as 15 guys.

For those of you in sunny South Florida, we're asking your help in working together with us to start a chapter in the Fort Lauderdale / Miami area also. We know how wonderfully dense the gay population is there and it wouldn't take much to get a chapter started. I think that Wilton Manors alone would fit the bill.

How about hearing from men in the Albuquerque or Santa Fe areas of New Mexico? I'm familiar with the region and with its recent growth, a chapter there would be wonderful.

I'm delighted to say that I am in-touch with a man in the Long Beach, California area. We have sent him a Chapter Startup Kit and I will be out there to meet with him early in the week of September 10th. I feel with his help, we'll soon fill a void in the Southern California area. We're also in-touch with a man in New Zealand. What a great place for Prime Timers. And they speak English! How about a chapter in West Hollywood, Orange County, or San Diego? We need to get those "holes" in the map filled up.

We are also looking for one or two guys to volunteer to act as editor(s) of our newsletters. Each of you can work on Prime Times or Outs and Ins, or both of them or both of you can work on both of them. Hope that makes sense! I know how much great talent exists in our organization. For years, volunteers continue to produce gorgeous chapter newsletters. I know because I read them. Now join-in and make it happen.
