Jesse Lee Williams
July 4, 1934 – May 23, 2015

Jesse Lee Williams was born July 4, 1934 in Covington, Alabama and attended school there. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee and worked as a bookkeeper for the Baptist Sunday School Board. At age 30, Jesse married Marjorie Ellen. Their son, Steven was born in 1965. Steven married April in 1989 and their daughter Morgan is their only child and Jesse's only grandchild.

Jesse retired from the Baptist Publishing Board and started Briarwood Catering, a very successful and sought after business. He gave up that business to be caretaker for his wife, Marjorie who's health was declining with MS. Marjorie died early 2009. That year Jesse underwent back surgery and his first of two knee replacements.

Jesse was a longtime member of Judson Baptist Church, the Judson Jewels Senior Adult Group, and the Marvelous Mix Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Nolensville Liar's Club that met at the Two-way Stop Convenience Store and Restaurant where members will miss Jesse's stories and jokes he provided at their gatherings. He was a member of Primer Timers.

Jesse enjoyed traveling, cruses and the company of men's groups such as Celebration of Friends, Las Vegas Gathering, Central Oklahoma Labor Day Get-A-Way and Prime Timers Worldwide Conventions. Jesse met Steven Dubois in 2011 at the Primer Timers Worldwide convention and kept contact between gatherings by phone and emails.

2015, Jesse spent all except two weeks in the hospital. He enjoyed a week in Palm Springs and another in Las Vegas with friends. Jesse Lee Williams died May 23, 2015 while being treated for severe infection.

Jesse is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and April Williams and granddaughter Morgan and her fiancé Johnny Flaugher, will be married this September. His memorial service was held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home and cemetery Nashville, TN on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

Jesse Williams was a fine gentleman who touched many lives. He will be missed by me and those who have enjoyed his company throughout the country.
