Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly is committed to reducing social and emotional isolation and promote well-being and independence among adults age 60+in the Twin Cities. They will work in partnership with Prime Timers Minneapolis/St. Paul. Prime Timers provides social, recreational and educational services to older gay and bisexual men in the Twin Cities.

With the LGBT Aging Initiative grant, the organizations are collaborating to bring social connectedness to isolated and lonely elders in the LGBTQIA community. They will host a forum and multi-media event to educate the broader community about LGBTQIA isolation issues, create print and online promotional support and increase their 2013 Pride Day participation.

Ultimately the project will increase volunteerism and elder referrals by maximizing available resources and delivering them more directly to LGBTQIA older adults.
